Baerbock: Germany Continues to Stand for Human Rights in Afghanistan

German Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock said that their solidarity with the people in Afghanistan is unbroken and they continue to stand for human rights in Afghanistan.

Our solidarity with the people in Afghanistan is unbroken and we will not let go of standing up for their human rights”, Baerbock said.

German Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Annalena Baerbock spoke with UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Afghanistan Richard Bennett, about the current situation in Afghanistan and support for the Afghan people.

Meanwhile, the United Nations Office Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) said this week in a report that 800 people related to the previous government were arrested, tortured, insulted and killed illegally and arbitrarily from August 2021 to the end of June 2023.
But Islamic Emirate spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid rejected UNAMA’s report.
